One of the coolest iPhone features (which is also on the Apple touch) is the accelerometer; it allows the screen to rotate from vertical to horizontal orientation with a flick of the user’s wrist. Although these Apple products aren’t the only devices with built-in accelerometers (the Nokia N95 and the HTC Diamond are some that come to mind), they will likely be some of the best supported with 3rd party applications. Here is the latest of what I suspect will be a massive influx: Astraware’s GTS World Racing.
You can’t download a trial, so Astraware and Handmark have provided a video of the game in action.
Read MoreGTS World Racing offers a unique mobile gaming experience utilizing the iPhone built-in accelerometer feature. Players can accelerate, brake and steer the car by moving and turning the device itself. The game includes 64 track layouts and offers a choice of multiple car types and difficulty levels, as well as 4 exciting play modes - Single Race, Challenge Cup, Grand Tour, and Championship.
